This apprenticeship opens the door to professional registration.

By completing this apprenticeship, you have shown the environmental knowledge and competence to be eligible for SocEnv registration.

Registered Environmental Practitioner REnvP – 10 of the 11 competencies have been met through your apprenticeship completion.

As a result of completing the apprenticeship, you are eligible for a shortened route to professional registration, gaining the post-nominals of REnvP and unlocking the many career, credibility, and community benefits that registration brings.

Below you will find guidance on how to apply.  Alternatively, by clicking on the Licensed Members logos below, all of whom are licensed to award REnvP, you will be directed to their website, so to begin your application directly with them.

The shortened route to REnvP is only available for 2 years from the date on your apprenticeship certificate. Apply now before you miss your window of opportunity.

How to apply for professional registration

    1. Join a Licensed Professional Body – You must become a member of a professional body offering the REnvP register (a Licensed Member of SocEnv)
    2. Support the Journey – The Licensed Member will guide you through the apprenticeship shortened application process, including advice on their membership and registration fees
    3. Apply with Evidence –The primary piece of evidence required will be a copy of your apprenticeship certificate. Beyond this, Horticulture and Landscape Technical Manager apprentices are only expected to demonstrate four competencies. To help you gather thoughts and relevant examples, a guidance document is available through the application support links on this webpage.
    4. Professional Commitment – Upon success, apprentices sign the SocEnv Code of Conduct and commit to ongoing CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
