Supporting your apprentices on the path to professional registration isn’t just a boost for their career, it’s a smart move for your business.

Environmental professional registration through SocEnv (via our licensed members) recognises individuals who apply environmental professionalism and high standards in their work.  Registrants are critical thinkers, reflectors and driven to deliver continuous improvements.

It’s a globally respected benchmark that demonstrates credibility, quality, and commitment to a sustainable future.

By encouraging your apprentices to pursue registration, you’re helping to build a workforce that’s not only skilled, but purpose-driven and ready to meet the demands of a changing world.

How apprentices can apply for professional registration

  1. Join a Licensed Professional Body – They must become a member of a professional body offering the ELEnv, REnvTech or REnvP register (a Licensed Member of SocEnv)
  2. Support the Journey – The Licensed Member will guide them through the apprenticeship shortened application process, including advice on membership and registration fees
  3. Apply with Evidence –The primary piece of evidence required will be a copy of the apprenticeship certificate. Guidance on specific application requirements are provided for each eligible apprenticeship and can be accessed by exploring the list below
  4. Professional Commitment – Upon success, apprentices sign the SocEnv Code of Conduct and commit to ongoing CPD (Continuing Professional Development).
